Apartment Bavarian Forest / Hauzenberg

Our apartment is located in the Bavarian Forest, Passauer Land in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful border Triangle of Bavaria-Bohemia-Austria, in the climatic health resort of Hauzenberg-Raßreuth. With 12 typical Bavarian Forest houses, the small holiday village of Adalbert-Stifter is an ideal place for relaxation, sport and leisure. From here there are hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails and tours. The apartment was redesigned in 2020 and the bathroom was completely refurbished. It has everything you need for a nice, relaxing holiday in the Bavarian Forest.

Upscale facilities in the holiday village Hauzenberg

The house has a spacious Pool that can be used all year round (with the exception of the annual maintenance work from around mid to late November). An outdoor Pool is put into operation every year in the summer months. In the area of the indoor Pool there is a Sauna that can be used by 6 people (from 12 years of age) at the same time. Both pools and Sauna are available at no extra charge and are located directly in the house (or at the house).

Southeast Bavarian Forest

In the north of the southern Bavarian Forest are Grafenau and Freyung, in the south the landscape continues south of the Danube between Vilshofen and Passau through the mostly wooded ridge "Neuburger Wald". The then "Passauerwald" or "Passauer Hart" was a wild forest (around 1470 the last Bavarian aurochs was shot in the Neuburg Forest) and was renamed "Neuburg Forest" from 1208. From Waldkirchen, the Abteilland merges into the Wegscheider plateau, which flows into the Mühlviertel (one of the four historical "quarters" of Upper Austria). This reaches a height of 948 m at the Oberfrauenwald. To the west, the Passauer Vorwald, south of the rear Bavarian Forest, merges into the Deggendorfer Vorwald (Lallinger Winkel), which is 400 m lower than its northern and north-eastern edge mountains.

"Freudensee" - Natural Swimming Lake

Just a few minutes' walk from our vacation apartment and the Adalbert Stifter holiday village is the beautiful Joy Lake. In the summer, you can refresh yourself in its cool currents, and in the winter, you can ice skate or play ice stock on it. The especially daring ones may even try ice bathing. There are several piers leading into the water, and in the middle of the lake, a floating trampoline awaits both young and old during the summer season. The spacious sunbathing lawn is maintained by the city of Hauzenberg; for the children, a low ropes course has been set up, and the active ones are attracted by a fitness course at the edge of the bathing meadow.
